You experience bad headaches
People who tend to eat less than normal and don’t have a balanced diet are more likely to experience bad headaches. The explanation is that “carbs don’t require any additional processing to make glucose, so they keep blood sugar levels steady quite effectively,” explained registered dietitian Isabel Smith, MS, RD, CDN. “However, when you don’t eat enough carbs (or food in general), blood sugar levels can dip and cause headaches.”
It’s perfectly normal to have headaches from time to time, but if the pain persists, especially when you eat certain foods or do not eat enough, it may be a sign that you need to eat some carbohydrates as well.
