As you probably know, carbohydrates are not good for your health, especially if you consume them in large amounts. In fact, nutritionists recommend that you reduce your carb intake, even though it can be quite difficult for you to change your lifestyle. 

Carbohydrates can be found in fruits, grains, vegetables, dairy products and other foods that contain sugar and are generally considered “bad” for your health, such as pastries, sodas, highly processed foods, white rice, white bread and so on. 

To be more specific, it is recommended to consume carbohydrates for a healthy life, but in moderate amounts. “Carbohydrates are macronutrients, meaning they are one of the three main ways the body obtains energy or calories,” said Paige Smathers, a Utah-based registered dietitian. The main idea is that you should always choose “good” carbs if you want to stay healthy, such as vegetables and fruits which are also low in calories, high in nutrients and low in saturated fats.
