It is extremely high in fructose! Even if it sounds healthy, agave nectar it’s a refined sweetener. The amounts of fructose from added sweeteners are horrible for your health. You should know that agave nectar is higher in fructose than other sugars. Whereas table sugar contains 50% fructose, and high fructose corn syrup around 55%, agave nectar is 85% fructose.
Alternatives: You should consume erythritol and stevia—they are natural and calorie free.
